Since 1995, citybikes have highlighted Copenhagens status as a world leading bicycle-city. Especially tourists love riding bikes, and many regard them as a major attraction of Copenhagen. The bikes also tell you, that Copenhagen City is a clean and green city, in which you easily get around. You can get faster around in the city by bicycle than by car or bus. 

The citybike project was terminated by the end of 2012. If you see one of our bikes, please text a message on +45 60701434. We still collect them, and they will all be used in new projects promoting bicyclism and other good purposes.

Citybikes provide jobs
The city bikes are maintained by Incita, a local non-profit organization using the citybikes to train and support hundreds of rehabilitees every year. The program is a succes.
