NEWS AND FACTS

May 1.: Season 2011 is launched. A new aluminium model is introduced.

November 2010: The majority of visitors at the Danish Pavillion in the World Expo exhibition in Shanghai mention, that the highlights were the 350 citybikes and the Little Mermaid.  

March - november 2010: Longest city bike season ever. City bikes were dispersed on the streets of Copenhagen 4 weeks earlier than usual due to increased demand.

November 2008: City Bike Copenhagen won the category "Best low carbon transport & technology" at the Virgin Holidays Responsible Tourism Awards 2008. 

August 2005: Journalist Simon Hoegsberg has been on a citybike-tour from Copenhagen to Istanbul in Turkey. 3.500 km in 1 month! (Simon had a special permission from us).

April 2005: The 10-year-anniversary season is launched with an open exhibition of all the city bike models produced so far.

July 1997: President Bill Clinton visits Copenhagen and receives a special built 'City Bike One' as an official gift from the city.

Spring 1995: Copenhagen City Bikes launches with 1.000 city bikes.
